Feeling 22!

Today is my birthday! I love birthdays in general (I'm a huge fan of eating cake and giving gifts), and there is just something about turning a year older that feels magical. Life is such a precious gift and every year I find myself more and more thankful for the opportunities I had in the year I'm leaving behind, cherish the present, and look forward to the future.

I know people say all the time that time goes by quicker every year, but that is something I did not fully understand until this year... I feel like I blinked my eyes and I was 22!!  I've been thinking about that a lot recently, why that happens, and I've realized that this year went by so quickly because it was the best year of my life.  While a lot of hard and sad things did happen, I grew a lot as a person, took some big chances, and loved will all of my heart.

For as long as I can remember,  I've shared a private ritual with myself on my birthday morning.  I stay up till midnight and note the best and worst part of my year so I force myself to reflect on what has happened.  One of my friends recently told me she does the same thing and calls it her "rose and thorn" of her ages... I like that!

Since this year was such a  wonderful year, I am going to share some of the highlights! (In Chronological Order)

1. The year started off with an incredible start: My 21st surprise birthday party planned by my now fiancé and sister!

2. Then I took a big leap and spent the Summer interning NYC with some of the best friends I've ever made!

3. I got to help Ben find/move into his first home!

4. I attended my first wedding!

5.  I got to drive with my dad to the beach with the top down listening to Classic Vinyl.

5.  I got to spend the my first Christmas day in decades with my Grandparents.

6. My fiance asked me to marry him in the most perfect way possible in the all time best moment of my life!

7. My mom and I found my perfect wedding dress together (sorry no pic!)

8. And finally, I've gotten to spend time with so many people I love, cherish friendships, and celebrate relationships!

Thank you to everyone who made 21 such an amazing year! I am looking forward to seeing what 22 has in store.

I'm Back-- Spring Wish list!!

Hi Everyone! I am sorry it has been SO long since my last post.  Senior year of college, wedding planning, and traveling have tied me up, but this spring marks a fresh-blogging start for me!

Today, I want to share my favorite spring accessories... basically my wish list for this season (so far). Even though I love neutrals, spring always makes me covet soft pastels, bright accessories, and of course- organizational tools for spring cleaning! Enjoy and let me know your favorites!
